All About Mac ProcrastiKnitters

Founded in 2020, Mac ProcrastiKnitters is a recognized and funded knitting and crocheting club of the McMaster Student Union at McMaster University. The club provides the community of McMaster with opportunities to learn and showcase their knitting and crocheting abilities through various projects and events.
We are dedicated to creating a fun and relaxing environment where individuals of all skill levels can interact. We are always organizing new and engaging activities for our members. Below are some of the activities we offered in the past. We also strive to make a positive difference in our community by donating knitting/crocheted goods to local hospitals and shelters.
Activities
We host workshop events that are led by our wonderful instructors in which general members learn how to knit/crochet the item of interest from a given pattern.
Examples of workshop events we organized in the past academic years include the following:
Back-to-the-Basics
Learn the basic techniques of knitting and crocheting
Halloween Crafting Night
Learn to make a witch hat, pumpkin, cat, or a bat
Tote Bag Workshop
Learn to make TikTok inspired tote bags
Bumblebee Keychains Workshop
Learn to make bumblebee plushies as keychains
We also host general meetings which are similar to our workshop events except members bring their own projects to work on while socializing with other club members.
