General Members
What type of activities do you host?​
​
Our events are either a workshop or a general meeting. Workshop events involve our instructors leading a group of members in completing a certain project (examples of items we made in the past can be found here), whereas, in general meetings, members bring in their own project to work on.
How often does Mac ProcrastiKnitters meet?
​
In the past, we met every week of each semester*. However, members are not obligated to come to all events. We would love it if you could but we understand the busy lives of students, so please come when you can!
*Club events may change, so to stay up to date with all our events, it is best to connect with us on our social media or sign up for our newsletter!​
I would like to suggest an idea for an event, how do I do so?​
​
Please send us a message on our social media or to our email! We would love to hear your suggestions as we plan our events that are catered to our members!
I don't have all the materials for an event, what should I do?​
​
Depending on the material that you are missing, one option is to use another material as a substitutee, for example using newspaper in place of polyester fibre for stuffing. Other examples of alternative supplies that can be used for projects can be found on our social media. Another option is to look out for our supplies pickup which usually takes place at the start of each semester. Additionally, you can always message us on our social media or email us and we'll do our best to help you with your situation!

Where does my donation go?​
​
All donated supplies go towards supporting our initiative of making knitting/crocheting more accessible to those who are interested in the craft and making a positive contribution to the charitable organizations of the Greater Hamilton and Toronto Areas. Your contributions allow our club to become closer to those in our community!
In the past, we hosted a pickup event so members of our club around the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton could receive yarn supplies. As many of our members were beginners, this pickup was essential to starting their knitting/crocheting journey. Furthermore, using the donated supplies, our members can create knitted/crocheted items that can be given back to those in the community by working together with local organizations such as women's shelters, hospitals, and long-term care homes. ​

Your donation allows individuals who are interested in knitting and crocheting to acquire materials, tools, and patterns more easily, as well as, find a yarn company they can trust for future purchases.
